AIA Colorado 2012 Young Architects Awards Gala: Call for Submittals

Colorado’s young architects, interns and students are invited to submit entries for the 13th Annual AIA Colorado Young Architects Awards (YAAG), a program dedicated to honoring bright, young designers in the architectural community.

Firms are invited to nominate passionate interns and young architects for the prestigious Intern of the Year and Young Architect of the Year awards. Individuals are encouraged to submit a nomination in the Mentor of the Year and Instructor of the Year categories.

Awards submittals are due in the AIA Colorado office by Friday, March 23, at noon.

Awards will be bestowed at YAAG on Friday, April 20. More information about the awards gala, including location and registration information will be available on the AIA Colorado website and in our e-publications soon!

For more information, including descriptions of the eleven awards categories and complete entry and eligibility requirements, download the submittal guidelines or contact AIA Colorado Director of Programs and Sponsorship Nicolle Thompson at nicolle@aiacolorado.org or 303.446.2266, ext. 111.

YAAG would not be possible without the generous support of firms and businesses in the design community. If you are interested in sponsoring this annual event, please download the sponsorship package.

AIAS UC-Denver 2012-2013 Board Nominations

There are still a couple open board positions.  With this in mind, the nomination deadline has been extended to Friday, the 17th, 1159 pm.  To make things a little easier, I have created a google doc where you can sign up (still email me to give me a heads up if you put your name down.)  This may allow some people to see what positions are open, and which ones may have potential competition.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.  Thanks,

-Stephen Cole, AIAS UC-Denver Chapter President
